Anatomy, Physiology & Pathophysiology
This course will teach you to name, review, identify, and list the anatomy & physiology of the Muscular System with an emphasis on the superficial and deep fascia, the Skeletal System with an emphasis on the connective tissues and joints as well as the Respiratory, Cardiovascular, Nervous, Digestive, Integumentary, Endocrine, Lymphatic, Reproductive & Renal Systems, and identify and list common pathophysiologies of each system and list common medications and therapeutic interventions for various pathophysiologies.
Myofascial Lines & Asana
During this course students will gain the skills to explain the fascial system, fascial lines, and tensegrity. You will articulate & functionally assess 8 Myofascial Lines:
- Superficial Back Line
- Superficial Front Line
- Lateral Line
- Spiral Line
- Front Arm Lines
- Functional Lines
- Back Arm Lines
- Deep Front Line
With this knowledge, students will provide yoga asana to facilitate the lengthening or strengthening of each myofascial line based on functional assessment.
