Course Description

12 hour Yoga Alliance Continuing Education

Join Certified Yoga Therapist, Chelsea Lee, for an exploration into various yoga tools & techniques focused on regulating the nervous system.

The course begins with an exploration into the anatomy of the nervous system. Differentiating the Central & Peripheral Nervous systems, as well as the Somatic & Autonomic Nervous System.

This course is informed by the work of Stephen Porges’ Polyvagal Theory. The work teaches us that the removal of threat does not equal safety. As we gain a deeper understanding of how our nervous system functions and serves to protect us from danger and life threat, we have a greater understanding of what we need to do to self-regulate and maintain a life that feels balanced and harmonious.
