Basic Techniques for the Neck and Face

Course Description

This 2.5 day Dr. Vodder Manual Lymph Drainage course covers basic neck and face techniques.

The theory part of the course covers the history of MLD, anatomy and physiology, indications and contraindications of MLD.

The practical part of the course covers the original basic Dr. Vodder Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) strokes and their application to the neck and face with a focus on treatment of healthy skin.

These techniques are easily incorporated into the repertoire of skin care, massage and will enhance the natural cleansing mechanisms of the skin.

  • $575 Tuition + GST
  • Prerequisite: VSOHA Bodywork Therapy Diploma or equivalent. Open to RMTs, health care practitioners or licensed estheticians.

Instructor: Denise Drisdelle

Denise is a New Brunswick native who moved to BC to pursue a career in mental health. She has worked in the field of Community Living at Spectrum Society for 12 years and is a current Board Member.  Denise became an RMT in 2005, and immediately enrolled in the advanced MLD with the Dr. Vodder School. Since 2008 Denise has been working as an associate practitioner at InspireHealth and holds staff education and monthly presentations to the members on how to manage Lymphedema. In 2008 Denise started as an assistant teacher with the Dr. Vodder School and in 2012 became a Certified Teacher at the Basic level. Denise’s patients have taught her to live life to the fullest, to appreciate every day and to live in the moment.

Admissions

Prerequisite: VSOHA Bodywork Therapy Diploma or equivalent. Open to RMTs, health care practitioners or licensed estheticians. Tuition is paid in full at the time of registration.

Cancellation Policy

Tuition is fully refundable until one week prior to the course at which point no refunds will be made. If a student is unable to attend for any reason, payment received will be kept on file as a credit and can be used for any other VSOHA bodywork and massage program or course within one year.
